Gossip Girl

I never watched Gossip Girl when it first aired, but I’ve been catching up on it now on Netflix. Even though it doesn’t feel that old at first glance, the dated cell phones and texting styles crack me up—it’s such a throwback! The show is so over-the-top and soap opera-like, with endless drama and twists. It’s wild how much the characters constantly scheme and screw each other over, again and again. It’s entertaining in a “you-can’t-look-away” kind of way, but it definitely makes you think about how messy and complicated relationships can get when trust isn’t there.
