Finally back in my own bed after what felt like weeks away. I think my mom had a really good visit with her people, though she was exhausted from packing so much into a few days. I do have a little regret about not making it to Arizona to see Melissa, but so much got accomplished these past few days that I’m feeling good about where things stand. I also got to spend some time with my sister, which meant a lot, and I did what I kept telling myself I wanted to do—spend time with Archie. We got in some quality hanging out, and I’ve confirmed I’m really good at Mario Kart. Sometimes staying put is its own kind of progress. For now: clean sheets, my own pillow, a lot checked off the list, and a grateful heart tonight.
