Rain

I woke up to the sound of rain pattering against the window, and immediately, it felt like the universe was just adding insult to injury. The gray skies seemed to reflect my mood perfectly after everything that had happened yesterday. It was like I couldn’t catch a break. I spent most of the day lying around, wrapped up in blankets, just trying to avoid facing the mess of my emotions. The rain made everything feel even more dreary, and the weight of it all had me staying in bed longer than I probably should have, wishing for the kind of escape that only sleep could provide.
