Veterans Day

Today is Veterans Day and my dad’s birthday—double the celebration...for everyone else! We haven’t spoken in years, so I can only guess what the family has planned: probably a nice dinner with cake, candles, and a generous helping of awkward small talk. Rather than sit around overthinking it, I volunteered to work tonight. Nothing like a shift to keep my mind off the whole “exclusion” thing. At least this way, I’m staying busy, feeling productive, and earning a little extra cash. Cheers to surviving family festivities—one work shift at a time! It’s been a long week!
