Sometimes I genuinely forget I even have tattoos. They’ve just become skin. At this point in life, tattoos don’t seem like a big deal because literally everyone has them. But then you’re filling out an application for something and suddenly you remember that to some people this still means something. To some industries it is still a thing, still a conversation, still a judgment. It’s wild how something that feels so ordinary to you can still read as risky, edgy, or unpolished in certain rooms. I forget they’re there until the world reminds me, and honestly it’s interesting which environments have evolved and which ones are still catching up.
