Sheila FaceTimed me yesterday and we ended up blabbing for an hour and a half about everything and absolutely nothing, and I honestly didn’t realize how much I needed that. I’ve been in San Diego for quite a while now, and the truth is, I’m lonely here. I don’t really have friends here to call up, grab dinner with, go see something with, or just sit around and talk to. I spend a lot more time by myself than I probably let people know, and some days I really feel it. It’s strange to be surrounded by people and still feel like you don’t really have anyone nearby who is part of your everyday life. Yesterday, for that hour and a half, I felt connected again. I laughed, I talked way too much, took a horrible screenshot she would die and I got to just be myself with someone who knows me. Thanks, Sheila. I really needed you yesterday.
