Circle

People say that as you get older, your circle gets smaller, and I definitely understand that now. As an adult, you just don’t have a lot of friends, or at least I don’t. People move away, lives change, relationships fade, and suddenly the people you once saw all the time are people you might talk to every few months. I know a lot of people, but knowing people and having actual friends are two very different things. I miss having those everyday friendships, someone to grab dinner with, call when you’re bored, laugh about stupid things with, or just say, “What are you doing tonight?” I think that’s one of the lonelier parts of getting older that nobody really prepares you for.
