I want to give a special shout-out to Debora and Larry Bolef, who have been such a bright spot during my time back in San Luis Obispo. One of the unexpected gifts of returning is getting to reconnect with people who make you feel like you've never been away.
Larry is our master carpenter and the creative force helping bring the world of OLIVER! to life. Every time I walk into the shop, I'm amazed by what he's built. His talent, craftsmanship, and willingness to tackle whatever crazy idea I throw his way have been invaluable to this production. The show simply would not look the same without him.
And Debora has become one of my favorite people to spend time with. Whether we're solving the world's problems over a glass of wine, catching up on local happenings, or somehow ending up in a lengthy conversation about cheese, she always leaves me smiling. She has a way of making every day feel a little lighter.
The older I get, the more I realize that life is really about the people who show up for you, make you laugh, lend a hand, and remind you that you're not doing it all alone. Debora and Larry are two of those people for me. I am incredibly grateful for their friendship, their generosity, and the kindness they've shown me. I adore them both and appreciate them more than they probably realize.
