Overwhelmed

I'm going to be honest: I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed by OLIVER! right now. Producing a show of this size is a massive undertaking, and there are moments when it feels like I'm carrying the weight of a lot of people and a lot of responsibilities on my shoulders. Between rehearsals, schedules, fundraising, sponsorships, sets, costumes, emails, and a thousand other details that nobody ever sees, I'm tired. Really tired. The funny thing is that I absolutely believe in this production and know it's going to be something special, but getting from where we are now to opening night can feel like climbing a mountain one step at a time. I know it will all be worth it in the end, and I know there are many people helping along the way, but tonight I'm allowing myself to admit that this is hard. Tomorrow I'll get up and keep moving forward. Today, though, I'm just a little overwhelmed.
