Merry Christmas

As expected, on Christmas morning, I'm alone watching TV. My mom left me gifts from last night – I opened mine from Kelley, Gabe, and the kids. Despite the lovely presents, I'm still sitting here solo. To add, both my mom and sister assured me that my father would only stay a few hours and my mom would pick me up. However, she didn't return until after 1 o'clock, when she left at seven, giving me a kiss and thanking me for the beautiful book of poems I made for her.
