Today, I made the choice to volunteer at the nearby gay and lesbian center, partly driven by my desire to give back to the community and partly because I've been feeling a bit isolated without many friends. I dedicated the afternoon to stuffing packets and, in doing so, had the opportunity to connect with a few individuals (with no intention of pursuing romantic or sexual connections). Surprisingly, our conversation veered towards discussing our favorite drag queens, and who would win Drag Race for a good two hours.
