Baklava Cheesecake

I’d been dreaming about this baklava cheesecake they used to make at this restaurant in NoHo that was right in my building—seriously, it would haunt my cravings at random times. So I finally caved, Googled a recipe, and decided to make it myself. It actually turned out delicious—like, shockingly good—but who knew that making one cake would require buying what felt like a small grocery store’s worth of ingredients? Between the phyllo dough, honey, nuts, cream cheese, and all the random extras, I ended up spending over $30. Damn, that was one expensive dessert… but worth it? Yeah. Probably.
