Rat

On Sunday, after getting home from work at 1 a.m., I ripped off my clothes and went straight to bed, exhausted. But my sleep didn’t last long. I woke up to something running across my back, and when I sat up, thanks to the light from the TV, I saw a rat scurrying up my dresser. I screamed, and it fell off, probably darting into the closet because I heard a lotion bottle hit the floor. I threw on my shoes and rushed into the living room, only managing to sleep for about three hours after that. In the morning, my mom and I moved the dishwasher and discovered the rat had chewed through the tubes, causing a leak. As soon as we moved it, the rat ran out. I barely slept last night, paranoid about the stupid rat coming back. I’m so tired!
