The Real Housewives of Miami

Watching The Real Housewives of Miami tonight, and two of the women were talking about their estranged relationships with their fathers. One of their dads had just passed away — right after they finally reconnected — and it really hit me. It made me think about my own father. I know everyone will probably think I’m wrong for saying this, but after years of therapy and really processing everything, I think I’ll be okay if we never speak again — even if he passes before we ever reconnect. Of course… no one really knows how they’ll feel when that moment actually comes. But for now, I’ve found a kind of peace in the distance.
