Palm Crosses

On Sunday after church, Sheila’s mom Sophie came back with palm leaves and quietly started weaving them into little crosses. She made one for everyone. I googled what they were and what they meant, and here’s what I found out: those little palm leaf crosses are usually called Palm Crosses. They're traditionally made from the palms given out at church on Palm Sunday, which marks the beginning of Holy Week in many Christian traditions. People often keep them as a symbol of peace, protection, and faith—tucked into a Bible, placed on a wall, or saved to be burned for Ash Wednesday ashes the following year. So what Sophie did was not only cool, but also deeply meaningful.
