This week in Oz has been… a whirlwind to say the least. We staged the entire show—blocking, choreo, everything—in just 9 days. That’s musical theatre bootcamp level stuff. Add in being out of town, feeling slightly out of place, and a mystery illness sweeping through the cast, and you've got a recipe for total chaos (with a dash of Munchkin madness).
For the past three days, we’ve been rehearsing in masks, which makes acting feel like a game of expressive charades—with only your eyes and body in an echoey room that swallows half your lines. But somehow, we stumble through it, like true theater people do.
The good news? We’ve earned a day off! Time to nap, hydrate, and maybe remember what the sun looks like ☀️
