Father's Day

Father’s Day is fast approaching… and I’ve got a lot of thoughts swirling around.

My dad moved out to California, just a mile away from me. He’s declining fast. And yet… we haven’t spoken in over three years.

It’s complicated. It’s messy. And tomorrow in therapy, I’ll probably unpack more of it. But one thing I do know—I have to stay firm in my decision to be done with him. Or maybe… he’s the one who’s done with me.

Either way, it’s a lot to sit with.
