Exhausted

I am absolutely exhausted. I haven’t done a show in six years, and the way this one is being rehearsed is intense—nonstop, with barely a moment to breathe. Since I’m staying far from town, I’m basically trapped at the Grange Hall all day, even during breaks, because there’s just not enough time to get back to Los Osos and rest. My body is wrecked—the lady I’m staying with wakes up at 5:30 a.m., and then the dogs start barking, so sleep is minimal. I’m out of shape, and the dancing is no joke. Plus, I’m flopping around as the Scarecrow, which takes a lot more energy than I remembered. On top of that, I have a cold or something—definitely some kind of virus—and I’m just pushing through. It's a lot.
