I just wrapped up Million Dollar Secret on Netflix, and oh my God! It’s basically this delicious cocktail of The Mole, The Traitors, Survivor, and Big Brother all rolled into one slightly unhinged game of secrets, lies, and strategy. Honestly, it made me laugh a little (and wince a lot) at how obsessed we all are with shows where people lie through their teeth for money and glory. What is it about human nature that makes deception so bingeable? Maybe it’s comforting to watch other people’s drama unfold in a neat little 8-episode arc while we eat snacks in bed and pretend our lives aren’t just a slightly less dramatic version of the same thing.
