Why

I don’t have the constitution

For another endless day—

I’m exhausted, drained, unraveling,

Worn and wasting away.

My body aches, my mind is frayed,

Each breath a heavy sigh.

I drag myself through one more round,

But often question why.

Tired of this life, this endless loop,

The weight, the fight, the cost.

I wonder if I’ve lost myself,

Or if I ever was.
