Christmas is getting really close, and honestly I’m kind of dreading the actual day. I don’t need anything, so whatever I get will be a surprise, but Christmas morning just feels like it’s going to be a repeat of every other year—by myself—with the exception of last year at Melissa’s. And if I’m being honest, I don’t really need to sit around watching my nephews open a million presents anyway. I love the season, the lights, the music, all of it—but the day itself always feels a little heavy, and I’m just trying to get through it.
