Cleaning Lady

Last night my mom announced that the cleaning lady was coming in the morning, and honestly, I just don’t understand it. This house is never really that messy to begin with, and somehow you have to clean before she comes, which makes absolutely no sense to me. On top of that, I don’t even think she does that great of a job—I can barely tell anything’s been cleaned after she leaves. She also brings her own cleaning products, which might be part of the problem, because I personally need that strong bleach or Fabuloso smell to actually feel like something is clean. I’m very into smells—there’s a reason I always have candles or something going in my bedroom. Smells make you happy.

Then my mom added that this is the last time anyway because she can’t afford it. There are two people who live here who are fully capable of cleaning—one who currently has no job (me), and the other who plays on her computer all day. And to top it all off, she arrived at 7:12 this morning, which explains why my mom was awake at an hour she never is. Why? So we could pick up more before she cleans… again? None of it makes sense.
